It's been 25 years since I first heard of GI Joe. Yeah, I know, Hasbro claims the franchise goes back to the 12 inch dolls that was one guy and not a team. However I was 8 at the time the team concept started so I'll set my origin date
that way. I liked all the characters, but Snake Eyes was my favorite. For a time, Snake Eyes was the most popular character because the the series focused on him and other Joe ninjas. I think he was also the most consistently depicted character across cartoons and comics: a highly skilled ninja, horrible physical scars, and voiceless due to the same accident that makes him hide his face.
