I don't fully understand why Punisher is so popular. I prefer "old school" hero morals where no matter what happens, the hero chooses not to kill. To quote Spider-man from one of his comic books: "Nobody dies, it is a rule." I realize that many fans prefer darker and grittier characters, but I think Frank Castle, the Punisher, is insane....driven by his grief and desire for revenge. He's a monster, but considering all the evil in the world, he will never run out of opponents.

This character is complete I think! It's great. I really like it and I'm not a big Punisher fan, but the opportunity to fight with a really well-made character can't be ignored. One thing that surprised me about the gameplay was his symbiote mode. A symbiote like Venom's engulfs Frank Castle and makes him stronger. Then, when you disengage the symbiote, it attacks your opponent. It's an interesting idea and depicted well. I would have never thought of it. The other thing about this character is that it's only playable as part of Eternity of Heroes from Infinity Mugen Team. When this Punisher is available for individual download, I'd like to see how it does against the Unlimited's Dead Pool.

We all have in us this feeling which
is the Talion Law but the Society
educated us The Moral against that.
And Punisher; devoid of The Moral,
is the Mr Hyde of our conscience
confronted to the problematic which
is how behave face to somebody
who harmed a close, being a Punisher
or trusting at The Justice which often
is not up to our expectations.
There is too that nobody likes criminals,
and always in the popular inconscience,
people would like that don't exist, as a result
people love Punisher because he kill criminals
and he is not a simple psycopath killer.
I could say things on the sublect
but it's not the blog for that.
Return to the character, Punisher is
the only one ambivalent Marvel character
because we can consider as a super-hero
for his struggle against the criminal but
too as a super villain for his Talion law.
But I agree with you on the fact that
Punisher is (becoming) unsane.
Anyway, any obsessive quest leads
to madness...........................

Thanks for the insight!!! Very well written. I'd tend to agree with you assessment mostly. I'd welcome any insights you or anyone might like to share. It is the fact that characters like the Punisher causes us to question our own moralities and sensibilities that truly make them worthwhile...that and we like to see stuff get blowed up real good! It's truly interesting also hearing your viewpoint coming from France and all. Thanks again!
