Favorite Fiction Blog Sprite Contest

As many of you know, I organized a sprite contest at other forums as the first leg of this contest. I had to shrink the original vision a bit, but we got some outstanding submissions at the Infinity Mugen Team forum, and the CVG United forum.

The following sprites were voted on best by their respective communities and now you have your chance to vote on them here. The winning sprite will be posted in a position of recognition for a period of time here at FF Blog.

Comic Mugen Blog Business

Few things to discuss. The few sprite edits you see are a sneak preview of the ones being voted on at CVG United and the Infinity Mugen Team Forums as part of the Favorite Fiction Blog Sprite Contest.

- There will be a change in how the WIP Boards are done soon. I'll break them all down into where the main posts are located community wise. The multiple topic links will be gone due to the change. Obviously a few will be slanted more to CVG United if posted there due to my connection and how I originally organized all this information there.


- The personal WIP mmcelhaney wanted to work on needs a new sprite editor as Bizarro_Toro is retiring from sprite editing after Steel is finished. If you are interested in working with mmcelhaney on this project please either email him, email ff_blog@yahoo.com, comment here, or send me a personal message at whatever Mugen Forum Community you know me best at.

- Speaking of need for a new sprite editor, CVG United is currently looking for one for the Spider-Carnage WIP. If we do not find one, we may have to drop the WIP. If you are interested, please contact me in the same methods listed above

- SGM is having a 4 day event starting on August 8th. Expect a recap of the events each and every day.

- As I stated before, there is voting going on for the Favorite Fiction Sprite Contest. It had to be downgraded a little bit from the original plan, but we got a lot of great submissions as you can tell from the previews in this post. Be sure to check out the voting at the following links. You have about 6 more days to do so from now.

When the voting is over at the forums, certain sprites from those contests will then be voted on here afterwards in a sort of compilation edition. The winner's at each forum will receive the ability to choose the subject of a future WIP Focus article, and something else will be figured out for the one that wins here.

Favorite Fiction Blog Sprite Contest Update

Just to clear up a couple questions that have been asked that other may have had.

- You can use any outfit you want, all that matters is the character in general
- No section contest, as in, all entries will be judged against one another regardless if its from the Batman/Superman entry, or the Outside Marvel and DC one.
- Does not matter if someone else is doing the same character
- You can submit whatever to FF_Blog@yahoo.com if you'd prefer


And remember:
- You can submit previous work you did, no need to sprite something new
- Can submit to as many forums as you'd like
- Entries due 11:59pm July 31st and will be voted on the week preceding it.
- Selections from each forum (winners and other notables) will then be voted on here afterwards

Finally, if you enter at CVG United.com, the winner at that community will receive $15.00 paid to their PayPal account.

Now announcing Favorite Fiction Blog's first ever sprite contest. This will be posted throughout the different Mugen communities, so each will have their own self contained contest with results posted on Favorite Fiction Blog, and then a sort of battle of the champions poll there.

The theme for the contest, characters discussed in the "What if?...MUGENized" series.

Rules
-Can either submit directly into the thread or with a pm to me
-Can use whatever sources, but if using non-open source sprite edits, please be sure to get permission first
-You can submit previous work that you have made in the past
-You can submit as many entries as you'd like

Submissions will be taken through July and then voted on at the selected communities in August. Afterwards, select submissions will then be voted on against other communities similar selection at Favorite Fiction. You can enter at multiple communities and submit the same sprite edits there as well (in fact, this is encouraged).
