Grudge Match - Wolverine vs Mystique

Now that ZVitor has released his versions of Wolverine and Mystique I wanted to see what would happen if they faced off in MUGEN. If they fought in the comics, I think Wolverine would win. Mystique doesn't mind killing people but I don't think she can replicate his healing powers.

Grudge Match: Wolverine vs Mystique

I wanted to see how it would play out pitting ZVitor's version of Mystique against his version of Wolverine - resulting in pure entertainment!!! I think in a real fight Mystique would definitely loose...but let's face it Mystique would not make it easy.

MUGEN: Wolverine by ZVitor

ZVitor has done us ALL a favor and released his version of Wolverine. I loved playing this one! I think its the best version of Wolverine I have ever used. I can't wait to practice more with him. It really is a lot of fun! If you haven't downloaded this one, you really should get it as soon as you can!

Grudge Match - Wolverine vs Predator

I don't care what anyone says I think Wolverine could beat a team of Predators. I don't think it would be a "cake walk" for Wolverine but in the end I know he is brutal enough and skilled enough to make any of the Predators wish they had never hunted him.

Grudge Match - Wolverine and Jubilee vs Batman and Robin

I think that as a team, Batman and Robin could beat Wolverine and Jubilee because Jubilee will do nothing more than slow Wolverine down because he'll be worried about her. Batman does not have to worry about Robin. Robin can handle himself. Here is how such a battle might look using MUGEN.

Survive This: Maskedless Wolverine

Wolverine (comics)Image via Wikipedia
There are a lot of great Wolverines in MUGEN. I like this one because it is so different from the others. This idea of allowing Logan to put on and take off his mask during gameplay is extremely fun change of pace. I tried it out in MUGEN's survival mode.

Survive This: Wolverine

Wolverine (comics)Image via Wikipedia
Wolverine is, arguably, the most famous fictional character in circulation today. I know why: Wolverine is real cool. What's not to like? This is probably why there are so many great versions of him in MUGEN. All the versions are fun to use and give you a great sense of what it might be like to be Wolverine. I took one of my favorite versions and played through MUGEN in Survival mode.

Grudge Match: Wolverine vs Superman

Okay, could Wolverine beat Superman? I think it depends on two questions: Does adamantium hurt Superman? Can Superman bend or even break Admantium. Let's make it interesting and assume Superman can't break Wolverine's skeleton and that Superman is immune to Wolverine's claws. Under those conditions Superman would have a tough time and I think Wolverine's fighting skills will give Superman a lot of problems. I think Superman could ulitmate win this if he is ruthless. If he treats Wolverine with kid-gloves the fight will be really, really hard. Wolverine does not know the meaning of "kid-gloves".

Survive This: Wolverine

Promotional art for Wolverine: Origins #1 (Jun...
Wolverine is one of the greatest fictional characters ever. Fortunately, there are a lot of great versions of him for MUGEN. I decided to take two of them and try to see how long I can last in survival mode. The first version I used was Anvil's version where you can make Wolverine put on and take off his mask. The second version is Infinity Mugen Team's MvC2 version.

Grudge Match: Deadpool vs Wolverine

Wolverine vs Deadpool! Truly one of the greatest rivalries in all fiction. I think what makes them so interesting is that aside that both of them are almost impossible to kill due to their healing factors, is the fact that Deadpool is insane and Wolverine can loose his cool to the point that he gives in to animalistic berserker rage. Any battle these two have is guaranteed to draw blood given that both have ninja skills. Here is a fight staged in MUGEN.

Review - X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Last Thursday I finally saw Wolverine. I had a great time! It was very packed with action. However, it was skimpy on character development. I guess what else can we expect in about 97 minutes! I really, really liked the was Wolverine used his claws in the movie. IT was also plausible for why Logan cannot remember his past.I'm still not sure about the casting choice for Sabretooth: no continuity with the first movie. I liked Gambit and I liked Deadpool. I hope there will be a Gambit spinoff. I don't really like the way Deadpool was handled at the end. He's never had so many mutant powers. There were a lot of cameo characters like Quicksilver and Toad, but no time was spent on any of them.

Grudge Match: Wolverine vs Sabretooth

Wolverine and Sabretooth's rivalry is really the stuff of legends! Let's see how their mugenized counterparts fair against one another. I'm using both versions of the characters from the Infinity Mugen Team. In my opinion, Wolverine wins in a knockdown dragged out fight!

Grudge Match: Wolverine vs Deadpool

Some of the best characters created for mugen are based on Wolverine and Deadpool. The choice for the version of Deadpool is easy: the Unlimited Team's Deadpool. Picking which version of wolverine to go with is much difficult. So I went with 3 versions of Wolverine to see which will beat Deadpool, computer-controlled in sudden death.

Mugen: Maskless Wolverine

I just found out that over at the Infinity Mugen Team that a new version of Wolverine has appeared. I've reviewed a previous version of the same character before however this one is updated and even more improved. This version of Wolverine allows the user to make Wolverine take off or put on his mask. This is what makes this version one of the most unique versions of Wolverine for Mugen. According the Infinity Mugen Team forum the character's sprites are by The Anvil with programming by Kong & Acey. You can download the character from http://www.infinitymugenteam.com/Forum_345/index.php?topic=22866.0

Hugh Jackman Interview

Actor Hugh Jackman recently did an interview concerning his starring role in Wolverine. I admit that I'm impressed. He has allowed more access by his fans and worked more closely with Marvel in public than any other actor starring in a Marvel film has done. I'm posting this because I enjoy creators of the fiction I enjoy talking about their work. Yes, it's a shameless plug for a movie, but I'm going to go see it anyway.
