Grudge Match - Vixen vs Storm Redux

Now This would be another battle I would love to see. I still think Storm would win hands down but it would be an interesting battle. Here is another scenario in MUGEN.

Grudge Match - Steel vs Storm

Could Storm beat Steel? I think that would be inevitable. Here is a fight stage in MUGEN.

Grudge Match - John Stewart vs Storm

I think Storm could give John or any Green Lantern a run for their money. It will be a tough fight for both of them but I think GL's power ring will run out of power before Storm does! Here is a scenario in MUGEN.

Grudge Match - Cyborg vs Storm

I like Cyborg and all, but I see no way to see how Storm could loose to Cyborg. I decided to see what would happen in a battle staged in MUGEN.

Grudge Match - Storm vs Vixen

Since there has been fairly recent updates to Vixen in MUGEN, I decided to stage a new fight with one of the version of Storm I have for MUGEN. In a real fight I can't see how Storm cannot win. Here are is a fight stages in MUGEN.

Grudge Match - Supergirl vs Storm

I think Storm could beat Supergirl because she can control the weather and I don't care how powerful Supergirl is I doubt think she can stand up to all of the earth's weather. Here is a possible scenario in MUGEN

Grudge Match: Vixen vs Storm

I admit that I had never heard of Vixen before I saw the show Justice League Unlimited. I knew nothing about the character. But now I wonder if she could seriously beat  the X-Men's Storm. In a word....no. Well, maybe. I mean she would stand a chance if Storm was sleep or deathly ill. Don't get me wrong...I like Vixen, but Storm outclasses her in every way I can think of. I decided to see what would happen if I pitted Vixen against Infinity Mugen Team's version of Storm.

Grudge Match - Storm vs Starfire

Okay I admit it: I think Storm would wipe the sky with Starfire. Why? Storm can wield the full power of the earth's climate: lightning, wind, rain, snow, and hail would be able to put Starfire down - if used appropriately and Storm is very good at what she does combined with her fighting skills.

Survive This: Storm

Storm is one of the most powerful characters in all of Fiction. She can control the weather and has such a regal and noble bearing that there is no way she can be ignored. Fortunately there are a few versions of her in MUGEN. I decided to try running the MVC2 version from Infinity Mugen Team through Survival mode.

Grudge Match: Storm vs Ella

So, I have to admit the MUGEN version of Ella (from The Ring movies) is extremely formidable and kinda scary with supernatural powers. I think that she would be a good opponent for Storm. Of course Storm's powers are nothing to laugh at. Neither are her fighting skills. It would be a long battle, but it would be something to see. I decided to stage a fight in mugen. Mugen: Storm

Storm is one of the best female characters in comics. She is regal, honorable, and controlling the weather means you can probably beat anyone. I also like how she is nearly always depicted as a strong black woman with good and moral character. She genuinely cares about other people and all living things. And fights passionately. She is also a great leader. I don't think that came out well in the movies. Here are 2 links with more information:

I think the best versions of Storm were done by Alucard/WhiteMagic2002 and the Infinity Mugen Team. They are fun to use and amazing to watch. Here is the playlist of the tests

Grudge Match: Wonder Woman Vs Storm

Ok here is my first "Grudge Match" post: Wonder Woman Vs Storm. In my opinion, all things being equal, Wonder Woman would win. In 1996, Marvel and DC jointly published a series that pitted their characters against one another. They allowed fans to vote as to who would win. Wonder Woman and Storm was one of the matches we could vote for (yes, I was there and I voted. I may still have a copy of the entry form). I voted for Storm at the time...so did a lot of people. Storm won in the story. I found a couple of cool blogs that focus on match-ups like this. If you like this kind of thing, I'd suggest checking out: Secret Wars on Infinite Earths: The Comic Book Fight Club. This one has great article on the 1996 crossover story. It really was a popularity contest in 1996. so, I ran a test in Mugen. I pitted the version of Storm found at: with the latest version of Wonder Woman (Reloaded). They were both computer controlled. Here is the result of that test



To be fair, I found another video on YouTube where someone set up a similar test. I don't know if both were computer controlled, and I don't know which version of Storm was used, but I'm certain that they used the same version of Wonder Woman I did.
