What If? Characters That’d Be Cool If MUGENized. - Ronini Warrirors

Back in the 1990's Ronin Warriors was one of my favorite Anime shows. I mean 5 guys, wearing mystical samurai, primary colored armor fighting to save the world - what's not to like? I liked everything about the show including their personalities and powers. Since i've been into MUGEN I've thought that it would be awesome to have a characters based on the anime, if not a full game. Unfortunately, I've scoured the Internet and can't find anything to down load. However, there does exist on YouTube a trailer for such a MUGEN game, complete with a screenpack. In the video's description there is a link to where the project is being developed but when I inquired I never received a response. Additionally, the site seems to be in Italian. The site is http://mugenpixart.mastertopforum.com... I hope anyone who finds out more information will comment below. Here is the trailer:

What If?...Characters That'd Be Cool If MUGENized #5

Disclaimer: Most of the following characters not only haven’t been made yet, but there are not even publicly known plans to bring them to Mugen either. The purpose of this article is solely for entertainment, and not meant to tell any creators who to work on, nor is it intended to be thought of as a “Wish List” of characters I want made. However, if anyone becomes inspired enough to begin a WIP on any of the characters discussed, then that would be a bonus.

Where Do They Get Those Wonderful Toys Edition

When you think of characters whose main ability is their use of specialized equipment, it is pretty easy whom you think of first. Well, I’m quoting his arch nemesis with this theme to talk about other characters that fit that same mold. Most of these guys do not have any special powers on their own and they had to rely mainly on their smarts and the use whatever items they had. Obviously, there are others, but these are the ones that stood out to me in regards to the main theme of being cool if MUGENized.

Blue Beetle (Jamie Reyes)

How can you not think of this guy with all the focus he has in the recent Batman cartoon? Of all the people to bear the mantle of the Blue Beetle, none had a stronger bond as the symbiotic Scarab known as Khaji Da is fused directly into Jamie’s spine. Because of this, Jamie was granted super strength and agility. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. The Scarab has previously manifested these powers: teleportation, flight from wings or jet propulsion, energy blasters, various firepower weapons, various bladed weapons, energy shields, healing, concealment, cancellation of magical energy, increased armor, and more. Plus, sometimes it allowed for specialized attacks against Kryptonians, the Green Lantern Corps, and others. In short, if he ever comes to Mugen, get ready for some fun!

Aztek

According to an ancient legend, two powerful entities battled long ago, one allegedly darker than the other. This supposed darker force was defeated and forced to leave, but left with a prophecy to destroy the world upon his return. A secret organization of followers for the remaining power then decided to prepare one person to be their champion until this time. And that burden later fell upon a man named Eno who was granted the magical armor with this position. When he wears this armor, all of physical attributes are augmented to superhuman levels, he can fly, turn invisible, fire plasma energy and entrapment nets, and manipulate matter density. In addition to all of that, he is also now granted the ability to draw forth from the knowledge of previous champions who donned the armor to help him with his tasks. All that, plus that cool look, he definitely fits the theme of this series.

http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Aztek

Kraven the Hunter

He was one of the world’s greatest big game hunters and mercenaries. This status became boring to him, so not much convincing was needed to talk him into hunting his toughest target, Spider-Man. Kraven took numerous potions that enhanced his athletic ability, as well as trained himself to be the best in every form of hunting possible. He became an expert with: all kinds of guns, darts, spears, whips, poisons and other objects that could be used to those ends. He also loved to set various traps for whatever his prey happened to be. So imagine yourself as the MUGENized version of this character that has a move set focused on various traps you can set. I like doing this with Punisher and others like that, so if there was more chances to do something like that, I’d be all for it.

Adam Strange

He was originally an independently wealthy archeologist who was in the wrong place at the wrong time…or so he initially thought. This ‘wrong place, wrong time’ incident sent him to the planet Rann, which then became the most important thing due to being part of trying to keep the people their free, while also falling in love. As part of this new role, Adam gained the use Rann technology that affords him a jetpack, various guns, and a spacesuit that can generate solid light equipment. In Mugen, he could also use the Zeta Beam teleport equipment to use in those fights. Besides, wouldn’t you love to use a character that could also call in their entire Rann army to help him in battle?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Strange

Orion

This is the one guy in this article that does have powers beyond his equipment, but because Orion is so tied to his equipment, I had to include him. Orion is a one of the New Gods, so he has superhuman abilities on par with most other heroes in strength, speed, durability, and stamina. As part of his linage to Darkseid (very complicate family tree), he also has the ability to heal. But where he fits into all this is the use of the Astro-Harness and the Mother Box. The Astro-Harness affords him energy shield protection, flight, tractor beam usage, and Astro Force beam technology that can fire very powerful energy blasts. The Mother Box will give its user access to all kinds of knowledge, gravity and machine manipulation, energy transference to the wielder, regeneration, and use of the teleportation technology of Boom Tubes. Medellin is apparently working on him for Mugen, but not much is known of the direction he will take. But this is a great character and I look forward to what he will come up with.

What If?...Characters That'd Be Cool If MUGENized #4

Disclaimer: Most of the following characters not only haven't been made yet, but there are not even publicly known plans to bring them to Mugen either. The purpose of this article is solely for entertainment, and not meant to tell any creators who to work on, nor is it intended to be thought of as a "Wish List" of characters I want made. However, if anyone becomes inspired enough to begin a WIP on any of the characters discussed, then that would be a bonus.

Outside of Marvel/DC

As most of you that follow superhero comic Mugen know, there is primarily a focus on Marvel and DC characters. Well, there are plenty of cool characters made by other comic companies and I thought I'd point out in MUGENized fashion and these are the ones that caught my eye. Now I know what you are saying, there are a ton of other characters you missed. I agree with you, but I can only write about so many of them, and these are the ones that were chosen.

Redeemer

As you are probably aware of, there are a number of Spawn WIPs currently in production in the community, including three at CVGUnited.com. Because of that, Redeemer is a perfect choice for an article such as this. For those of you who do not know, A Redeemer similar to a Hellspawn in how they are chosen to be angelic warriors to combat the forces of Hell. Much of their power is derived from the Elemental Fire of Heaven as an answer to a Hellspawn's use of Necroplasm. It is this Celestial Fire that drives the Redeemers, as they feel pain from the source of their power that can only be abated by defeating a Hellspawn. The people that are picked for these positions are those that have a history of performing brutal acts, yet have still found religion.

Mr. Majestic

He is one of the most powerful beings in the Wildstorm universe, and has been a leader of the WildC.A.T.S, which is one of the most prominent groups there as well. Imagine a Mugen character with all of the powers of Superman. Then give that same character a great intellect that allows him to create various technological weapons. Now give him psionic powers. And finally, he likes using a sword. That is Mr. Majestic, and that is what I'd call a fun character to play with *if* MUGENized!

For more information:

http://www.comicvine.com/mr-majestic/29-21972/

Spartan

In the Wildstorm universe, there is an epic battle between two alien planets, Khera and Daemon. As part of this war, the Kherans empowered a number of their people with cybernetic abilities and this is how Spartan came into being. These abilities grant him superstrength, flight, invisibility, energy projection, and he can also self repair his cybernetics as needed. And if he is defeated, he can download his mind into a new body and draw from the memories of that defeat to where he can adjust his strategy so it will not happen again. And on top of all that, he can merge with someone named the Void which will then allow for stronger energy projection, teleportation, and make him even stronger.

For more information:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartan_(comics)

http://www.comicvine.com/spartan/29-12006/

Zealot

She might be one of the most iconic female characters in the WildStorm universe. Like other Kherans, she has superstrength and a very long lifespan. This long life granted her time to hone her fighting abilities with various hand-to-hand weapons, and fire arms to perfection. In addition to that, she also has the ability to heal from certain wounds. Given her image and those abilities, she'd be a classic right there for Mugen...now consider her gift with dark sorceries. In the comics, she primarily used those abilities for energy projection, teleportation, shields, and creating various objects out of thin air.

For more information:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zealot_(Wildstorm)

The Darkness

While Jackie Estacado is already someone you do not want to mess with (mob hitman with excellent marksmanship and a formidable hand-to-hand fighter), he is even stronger with the power of The Darkness. The Darkness is passed down through family lines and grants the wielder almost limitless ability to create anything he wants out of the shadows. This can be in the form of weapons or armor, or even create Darklings to fight for him. He also has the tendency to employ the use of fanged tentacles from his armor that will feed on his enemies. And that is not even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his powers, so imagine how great he could be in Mugen.

Witchblade

Sara Pezzini can already hold her own due to her police training in unarmed combat, weapons and tactics. But after she acquired the Witchblade, she became much more powerful. The only limit to this power is Sara's imagination. So far she has used it to: create weapons and armor, fire energy blasts, healing, winged flight, and razor sharp tentacles that can be extended for attack. Now couple all that with a sexy look/attitude and an affinity to allow for her Witchblade armor to leave her extremely exposed, and you have a guaranteed future favorite Mugen character on your hands.

What If?…Characters That’d Be Cool If MUGENized #3

Disclaimer: Most of the following characters not only haven’t been made yet, but there are not even publicly known plans to bring them to Mugen either. The purpose of this article is solely for entertainment, and not meant to tell any creators who to work on, nor is it intended to be thought of as a “Wish List” of characters I want made. However, if anyone becomes inspired enough to begin a WIP on any of the characters discussed, then that would be a bonus.

Amalgam Style
After a hiatus from this series due to Mugen Madness, coverage of the release parties and my new role with http://cvgunited.com I thought the best place to resume this series would be with the Amalgam characters due to their recent event and the awesome hyper that HCF put on Starfire. So I went through the entire Amalgam universe of characters to find the ones I thought were the coolest ones that I do not think are a part of the Amalgam: Age of Superheroes project. This was not easy, as they seem to have most of them covered. I was able to find a few, but for all I know, some of them might be secret WIPs. Anyway, here are my favorites:

Shatterstarfire

Okay, you can see her as part of HyperCombinationFinish’s Amalgam Hyper (and I thank him for that), but that is not enough for me. I am already partial to Shatterstar (check my avatar at IMT), so anytime there is a focus there, I like it. For those of you who do not know, Shatterstarfire is an Amalgamation of DC’s Starfire and Marvel’s Shatterstar. So a MUGENized version of this character would have both of they’re strengths in the fighting ability and use of swords of Shatterstar, while also having the ability to fly, super-strength, and various energy projectile attacks of Starfire. That could be a fun character, but until then, play with HCF’s Starfire and pull off as many Amalgam hypers as you can.

For more information:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shatterstarfire

Dare

Her real name is Slade Murdock and she is an Amalgam of Daredevil and Deathstroke, but then made female (because comic companies try to go sexy when they can.) She, like her Marvel counterpart is blind from an accident, but attained hypersenses also as a result. The most important part of this extended ability allows her an internal radar similar to that of Daredevil. Then throw in the fight training of her DC counterpart and that is where you get Dare. Plus, Mugen can always use more characters that wear an eyepatch.

For more information:

http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/amaldare.htm

Big Question

If we are going to talk about Dare, then we might as well talk about her arch nemesis as well. The Big Question is an Amalgamation of Kingpin and the Riddler and he was the one that subjected Dare to the accident that rendered her blind which also gave her the hypersenses spoken of above. He has the same evil nature of Kingpin, with the command of mob henchmen, but also the expert ability of judo which can be deadly in a man of his stature. And he does all of this while subjecting whoever to riddles and traps in the same fashion as The Riddler. However, giving those clues is also his main weakness, same as with Edward Nigma. But he might be a case where his Amalgam character would be better than either of his mainstream comic counterparts because of this combination.

For more information:

http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/bigqustn.htm

Terra-X

Like Terra and Terrax, who are her respective DC and Marvel counterparts, Terra-X has the ability to manipulate the molecules of earth and rock…but she has even further control than they do. First, she has the ability to transform her very body into these substances, be it hard as a rock, or even into dust and not be harmed. But she can also combine with the very ground itself and come up with any attack that is possible from this state. So then when you couple all of that with proficiency at using her long-handled axe, and you have a character that would dominate in the MUGENverse.

For more information:

http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/amterrax.htm

Sinistron

I am pretty sure that the SGM Amalgam guys have their boss characters set for their project, but if they ever decide on doing a sequel, then the coupling of Ultron and Mr. Sinister would have to be their man. Can a character get any more evil when you combine the ruthlessness and computer calculation of Ultron with the scheming ability of Mr. Sinister? I’m sure you said yes, but now what if we combine all that in an adamatium body that has the limitless capacity to create any weapon he can think of. And one of those weapons can actually take control of other people’s minds. Then throw in flight, durability, super-strength, and forcefield projection, and Sinistron would be a force to be reckoned with.

What If? Characters That’d Be Cool If MUGENized Part II

Volzzilla has come up with a brilliant idea: a series of articles that explore characters that have yet to be adapted for mugen. This article is well-written and discusses why these characters should be "MUGENized". I think he raises many great points. The following was written by Volzzilla and he was nice enough to allow me to publish it. As he says in his disclaimer this is not saying that he or I is trying to tell anyone which character should be created. For example, I'm starting work on practicing coding for MUGEN so maybe I can help make these projects come to fruition.

Expanding the Batman and Superman Universes

It can be argued that no two characters have a greater comic mythology than Batman and Superman. Both of them have such a rich history and the best rogues gallery in all of comics. And numerous times, in various types of media, their universes have been re-imagined. So who better to have the same sort of thing happen for them in Mugen? Because they are sharing the limelight (which was sometimes a difficult thing for them to do in the comics) in this article, I will go back and forth between Batman and Superman for these entries.

Batman within the Batbot Mech-suit

Granted, Batman never used the Batbot suit in the comics, but when he did so during the Animated series of The Batman it was always memorable. The Batbot was used when Batman needed extra muscle and/or firepower. If the Batbot suit was re-imagined for Mugen, whoever could, if they so choose, add more features to it. After all, this is the world where Ronald McDonald not only can fight Superman, he can win. If that can happen, so can anything else and that is what makes Mugen so great. Originally the suit just gave the person inside increased strength, protection, and the use of various thruster mechanisms. But in the world of Mugen, any weapon you can imagine could be added…especially to a large robotic mech, the ideas could be endless. Such a character certainly would be new to Marvel/DC Mugen, and I’m sure that unique experience would be entertaining to quite a number of people.
To see the suit in action, check out the following clips from episodes of The Batman:

Livewire

It was kind of ironic that while I was putting things together for this article, that a WIP was just getting off the ground for her by Shun Andromeda at Scruffy Dragon. Here is what he has so far:

I absolutely love the movement animation he recently put together. It is kind of funny, as I envisioned something similar before even publicly discussing any of this. Shun, do you have special mind reading powers we should all know about? Superman can never have enough of his enemies made into Mugen, but this would be the first female. Judging by that animation gif, you can picture all kinds of things that can be done for Livewire in Mugen. Imagine if you will, jumping all over the screen in that manner, while firing any number of electrical attacks at your opponent. Perhaps maybe even this movement can be an attack as well, in that if you contact whomever during this time, they get electro shocked. If Shun continues reading my mind on concepts for her, I’m going to expect some credit in the readme file…just kidding, lol. I totally look forward to seeing more and you can follow this progress as well by going to: http://www.scruffydragon.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6438

Knightquest Batman

In the 90’s, there was a widespread story arc in the Batman Universe that led to Jean-Paul Valley taking up the title and the cowl for a time with a very different look and attitude after Bane seriously injured Bruce Wayne. It was even implied that the Death of Superman played a part in leading up to those events. You have to admit, the new look was very striking, and that batsuit had all kinds of new gadgets Jean-Paul used at the time. Among the lethal weapons incorporated in the new suit, the most notable was a flamethrower and an ammo feeder that launched a continuous barrage of bat-shaped shurikens. The cape was also adjusted into bladed wings that were used in numerous ways. Jean-Paul was also a master martial artist due to assassin training since his birth by some secret organization. Put all those dangerous moves together with a more abrupt attitude and that amazing look, and you have one character that would be kicking some butt and making you smile the whole time while he did so.

For more information:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knightfall

Metallo

If you like to fight against Superman, than you would love to use a character with a kryptonite heart embedded into his chest that could be a constant health drain on him when he was too close, with an added ability to fire off a kryptonite laced energy beam. And even if your fighting someone else, that laser and your increased strength and durability, which is powered by that heart would serve you well. More recently, Metallo underwent a few upgrades to his abilities. Apparently he sold his soul to Neron for the ability to assimilate any metal mechanical device into his exo-skeleton to use for whatever purposes. Just think of the countless ways you could have fun with that! But that is not all, as Brainiac 13 also gave him abilities to where he can shift his size to monolithic proportions. Checklist of things you could do with him: adjusted strengths against Superman, check; use of whatever mechanical devices to torture your opponent, check; shift to larger sizes on command, check; total fun, check.

For more information:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metallo

Penguin

The same reasons why this character has not been publicly worked on, are probably the same reasons why he never will be; no template to use beforehand, which would make him that much more difficult to create fully in Mugen. But that does not mean we cannot have fun discussing the possibilities here, especially considering the implications of adding another core Batman villain. You could spend this entire article discussing the various ways he has implemented his gadget umbrellas alone: helicopter flight, machine gun, shotgun, laser, flamethrower, tranquilizer gun, noxious gas expellants, netting for trapping an opponent, and all of the different ways blades were incorporated. But did you also know that he was an expert at judo? In the TV series The Batman, the producers decided to rely heavily upon that fact. Personally, I would also love to see a move where little penguins with rocket launchers strapped to their backs came out for an attack, ala the movie Batman Returns. That would be the most memorable move for a very entertaining character.

General Zod

Throughout all of Superman mythology, the topic has been addressed, ‘What would happen if the powers of the Last son of Krypton were used for evil?’ Well, there is an easy one-word answer to that question, Zod. He was already ruthless, but a rivalry that started with Superman’s father, Jor-El intensified things to where General Zod would do anything to try and make Earth suffer under his rule. So picture yourself using the powers you are accustomed to, but with a merciless attitude, all in a new look. My personal preference, to do so in the style of the picture I provided, but maybe that is because I’m biased to the medieval suit of armor look on any comic character.(mental note: look into that concept for future entries, lol)

For more information:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Zod
http://www.comicvine.com/general-zod/29-13075/

Vampire Batman

You know you love Batman and you know you love vampires, so what would be better than combining the two? And this was explored a few different ways in alternative universes of the Batman mythology, most notably in Batman vs. Dracula: Red Rain and its subsequent follow up materials. But this concept was not limited to just the comics, as various forms of animation branched out into this idea. This most recently happened when Batman: Brave and the Bold used a story line involving Batmen from different universes to foil Owlman’s plans. Another version of this character was seen in DC Comics, Countdown: Arena. If you package a more monstrous look together with the iconic image of Batman, that is cool enough. But then augment all the various things Batman can already do with new vampire like abilities (such as: shapeshifting, dematerialize into smoke, obvious power drain, actual flight from wings, regeneration, increased strength and speed, mental powers, and any other vampiric qualities one could come up with) and you have another fun character to beat up on your opponents with.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_%26_Dracula:_Red_Rain

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countdown:_Arena

Composite Superman

There is not a single character that will be discussed in this entire article series that has a more outstanding look than that of Composite Superman. Combining the images of Batman and Superman at the midline would surely turn everyone’s head in regards to Mugen. While his back history was convoluted throughout the comics with a number of different origin stories re-created (check that out in the more info section), two things remained the same; that incredible look, and his immense power. Composite Superman was so powerful, that he was never actually beaten, more like he was tricked into defeating himself. In every instance of his incarnation, the power-set he had was a combination of all of the members of the Legion of Superheroes from the 30th Century, most notably three Kryptonian-like powered characters in Supergirl, Mon-El, and Ultra Boy. It was said that because of that fact alone, he was stronger than Superman himself. But that is not all he gained from the Legionnaires, he could also (get ready for a long list): adjust his size to large and small proportions, divide into 3 people, fire lightning bolts, generate heat/light, adjust the mass of any object, consume absolutely anything, turn invisible, inflate himself into a ball, stretch any part of his body, shapeshift (which is why he has chosen the look he has, due to a hatred for Superman and Batman), telepathy, advanced intellect, electromagnetic powers, transmutation of various elements, and the ability to phase through any solid matter. Okay, I’m tired just from looking all that up and typing it all out. In short, awesome look with all kinds of powers equals perfect character concept for Mugen.

Green Lantern Batman

Granted, it was the most recent cartoon episode that provided the initial inspiration for this entry, but did you know that there was some comic reference to Batman using the powers of a Green Lantern ring? This concept was first imagined in the one-shot, Batman: In Darkest Knight which you can read about in the more info section. In this storyline, Abin Sur gives the power ring to a young Bruce Wayne who goes a different direction with his exploits. It was this idea that probably led to the recent cartoon. So my theory, combine the two for one great Mugen character. One that utilizes the power ring with Batman’s attitude and agenda in abilities that are Dark Knight inspired, while also pulling out various gadgets from his utility belt when need be. And this can all be done in a batsuit that is empowered by the Green Lantern ring. Furthermore, if there can be a character, Ion (more on him later) that basically has both the powers of Superman and a Green Lantern, why can’t a character like this be MUGENized? Besides, don’t you think Batman looks good in green anyway?

What If? Characters That’d Be Cool If MUGENized.

Volzzilla has come up with a brilliant idea: a series of articles that explore characters that have yet to be adapted for mugen. This article is well-written and discusses why these characters should be "MUGENized".I think he raises many great points. The following was written by Volzzilla and he was nice enough to allow me to publish it.

Disclaimer: Most of the following characters not only haven't been made yet, but there are not even publicly known plans to bring them to Mugen either. The purpose of this article is solely for entertainment, and not meant to tell any creators who to work on. However, if anyone becomes inspired enough to begin a WIP on any of the characters discussed, then that would be a bonus.

Instant Mugen Favorites Edition

There are some characters that are so iconic, that it is confusing to see how they have not been adapted to Mugen already. In my opinion, if any of these characters were to be created, every player would download them immediately into their Mugen and they would become instant favorites.

Raven
It is always a good thing whenever you can expand upon a team roster that is lacking with members, but Raven would do far more than just slot in nicely with other great Teen Titans releases like Robin and Starfire. To go along with her general popularity, she has some awesome powers that would translate into the Mugen world perfectly. Besides being able to fly, her magic ability also helps her with: stopping time, astral projection, teleportation, telekinesis, precognition, and the ability to force emotions such as the 7 deadly sins on an opponent. But by far her coolest power is Shadow Manipulation. She can make the shadows do anything she wishes with the only limit being her own imagination at the time. Combine all those great powers with a rich comic history, and she would be a shoe-in for anyone's Mugen roster.

To read more about her:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raven_(comics)

http://www.comicvine.com/raven/29-3584/

Black Canary
When it comes to Superhero Mugen, you always need more DC characters, especially female ones. Couple all this with someone that oozes sex appeal like Black Canary and you have a winner. Her Marvel counterpart when it comes to this quality has numerous creations, Psylocke, so now it's her turn. Everyone knows about her ultrasonic scream ability, which could be utilized a few different ways in Mugen. But did you also know that she is considered one of the best martial arts fighters in all of the DC Universe, some say almost on par with Batman? Plus, sometimes she pulls out a few weapons and gadgets to accentuate her butt-kicking. And when all that fails, she can run you down with her motorcycle. Besides, ZVitor's awesome Green Arrow is very lonely without her.

To read more about her:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Canary

http://www.comicvine.com/black-canary/29-1689/

Spider-Carnage
Both Spider-Man and Carnage are already Mugen iconic characters, so a combination of the two would be a sure thing to follow suit. And this combination has happened in the general Spider-Man history a number of times as well. In the main Marvel timeline, Ben Reilly was bonded to the Carnage symbiote for awhile, which helped fill out his character more due to the internal struggle this caused. Alternative universe stories and the animated series also explored Peter Parker in a similar situation. In each instance, Spider-Carnage had all the powers of Spider-Man and the Carnage symbiote both, which would mean his Mugen incarnation would be that much tougher. I think the Ben Reilly version would be better as then Stingers could also be incorporated into his power-set.

Yellowjacket
You can never go wrong with adding another core Avenger. Especially one that could offer so many new and different abilities to Mugen like Hank Pym. Imagine fighting whomever, and then growing to a very large size to change up the entire dynamic of the match. Or how about if he was to shrink to a size too small to be hit, but he is still swarming around and causing damage. He is also a master inventor who can pull out various hi-tech weapons to use to defeat his opponent. All this while in a suit that allows for flight and the ability to fire off bio-energy blasts from his wrists. I know I would enjoy a character like that, and so would you...admit it. Marvel Girl
Everyone loves a good X-Men character in his or her Mugen; but then give this same character the Phoenix Force and get ready to have some fun. Most of you probably already have Jean Grey and/or a Dark Phoenix remix, so you know how powerful the Phoenix Force can be just in Mugen. Marvel Girl already has some of the stronger abilities from the Marvel Universe with telekinesis, telepathy, and the numerous ways she can incorporate psionic attacks. But supercharge all of that with a re-imagining of the Phoenix Force for Mugen, and she will be a good match for anyone. These abilities made her one of the strongest characters in a number of Marvel timelines where she played a large part in shaping things to come, so what would be different in her Mugen incarnation? Black Panther
The first modern black superhero; a very iconic fact for an even more iconic character. And I'm not just saying this because of Marcus' decision to finally bring the Black Panther to Mugen. Besides, every Mugen roster can use a sense of regality from the King of Wakanda; not only in title, but also in the way he carries himself in general. T'Challa has trained himself to the absolute peak of physical ability, which is also further enhanced by taking a special herb that increases those abilities even more, as well as heightens all of his senses (especially eyesight, night vision, and smell.) Combine that physical prowess with his being a master of all forms of unarmed combat and a fighting style that also includes acrobatics, as well as aspects of animal mimicry, and he would be fun to watch just in that respect. But then you add in his vibranium-enhanced suit that helps in refracting damage, fires energy blades or sleeping gas, armor-shredding claws, and special boots that further amplifies his acrobatic ability. Another move could incorporate the time he was the wielder of the Ebony Blade, a sword that could absorb energy attacks and sometimes reflect them back at the attacker. And did I mention he is one of the greatest intellectual minds in the Marvel Universe? So get ready for him to perhaps pull out some sophisticated weaponry he created as another special move. Hypers could also include his wife Storm attacking, the Wakandian Army (which is the most advanced in the world) making some sort of military strike, and maybe even have a jungle stampede. All in all, the Black Panther could be one of the most entertaining Mugen characters ever.
