Mugen - Morph

I really like Morph by the Anvil and Magus. Morph became a great character although he was only created to be killed off in the X-Men animated series from the 1990's. The character was so popular that he was brought back and used a small number of times throughout the series. The character's popularity was so great that he was adapted into the comics. What I like about this Mugen character is that although it is primarily based on the animated series version of Morph, his comic book depiction is still represented. Go ahead and download him if you haven't done so already

Mugen: Quicksilver

Quicksilver (comics)Image via Wikipedia
I have heard a rumor that there does exist a version of the son of Magneto in MUGEN. There is even a video of Quicksilver in action. However, I'm not sure who made it and I am also not sure when or if it will ever be released. If anyone has any information, please feel free to comment below. The video shows a great character and I hope the developer(s) will decide to share it soon.

Mugen: Bishop

I mean to do a post like this a long time ago. There does exist an excellent Mugen character based on Bishop. He was made by WuCash - a really excellent creator. This one is fun! I enjoy using him a great deal.

Mugen: Beast

Beast is one of my favorite characters among the X-Men. He is the best example of how it really is impossible to judge a person based solely on how he looks. Hank McCoy may have immense size, blue fur and fangs, strength and agility, yet he is one of the most intelligent and most witty fictional characters ever to see print or put in movies or on televisions. He's also tragic because it is not easy to go through life looking as he does. People judge him a monster yet he is nothing like that. I've found 2 versions of him for mugen. The one I recommend most is the one from the Infinity Mugen Team. Here is an example of Hank McCoy in action.

Unfortunately, my video didn't go as well. I need more practice with Beast, but although Sagat handed me my head in the Demo, the character is a lot of fun to play!

Review - X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Last Thursday I finally saw Wolverine. I had a great time! It was very packed with action. However, it was skimpy on character development. I guess what else can we expect in about 97 minutes! I really, really liked the was Wolverine used his claws in the movie. IT was also plausible for why Logan cannot remember his past.I'm still not sure about the casting choice for Sabretooth: no continuity with the first movie. I liked Gambit and I liked Deadpool. I hope there will be a Gambit spinoff. I don't really like the way Deadpool was handled at the end. He's never had so many mutant powers. There were a lot of cameo characters like Quicksilver and Toad, but no time was spent on any of them.

What Is It like To Be A Student At the Xavier Institute?

On April 15, Marvel is publishing a book written from the point of view of a student at the Xavier Institute as if it's the student's blog! I like the concept. The only way I'd improve on it is to make it an on-going blog. Fortunately, Marvel is promoting the book by publishing 2 entries a week for the "blog" for a few short weeks. Read the article and the second blog entry at Read X-Student Eric Mattias Blog. I think it is great. The book is called Wolverine: Worst Day Ever. Here is part 3.
