Grudge Match: Sandman vs Rhino

This is one would be a great fight. I'm not sure if anything like it has ever been done in the comics...but it is a fight I would like to see. I think Sandman  could beat Rhino because he is more powerful and let's face it...he is smarter than Rhino.

Some of you may have seen some of these videos, but some of you may not have. I am posting this because we had a late addition to CVG's Thanksgiving Day event for Day 3 and though perhaps these videos were missed by some of you as well.

Survive This: Sandman

I think that most people would agree that Sandman is one of the best characters for MUGEN ever! This one is really fun to use. I wanted to see how long I could last in Survival mode.

Grudge Match: Sandman vs Bane

If Sandman ever did fought Bane, I think Sandman would win. Sandman is almost indestructable and while Bane is super strong, it's really hard to hurt Sandman in any significant way. I'll have to give this one to Sandman.

CVG's Thanksgiving, Day 3

Thank you all for making yesterday such a success. I think Guy Gardner is shaping up nicely as you could see in the beta release. And you got to love a new style of stage being released by Los Tha Don. CVG's appreciation also goes out to Heka and the CFAS team to give us a couple more things to host too. Finally, what an awesome display in that Supergirl video...just wow.

Now we have some good news and bad news...bad news first. Our original planned finale is going to fall short a little from initial plans. CVG's intentions were to release not one, but two brand new characters for you in Batman and Batman Beyond. There was also a plan for the Legends of the Dark Knight Screenpack release. But unfortunately, technical issues prevented all of those things from happening. But that leads into the good news to be discussed after the break.
Thanksgiving Release Event Day 3

The good news is, expect our Christmas event to be even that much more epic as all of those things will be ready by then. Not to mention a bunch of other things we are planning for you. Our hope is to make it our biggest event yet. So keep an eye on us for all that until then.

I'm sure most of you loved the updates Jor El came up with for his previous stages that we showed off on Day 1. Well, this is his first brand new release in a very long time. It is still a WIP, but he was so excited about it, he wanted to release the beta version. You all will recognize it from the Phoenix preview video also shown on Day 1. Did you know that trexrell is brand new to sprite editing? You wouldn't know it with his incredible work on Vixen as not only does she look great, but he works so fast. Then toss in the fact that his actual fiance Yin has caught the same creation bug, and you see the great progress shown in this video. CVG's Thanksgiving, Day 2

Los Tha Don, our GFX Admin not only makes incredible avatars (go request one now from him) and banners, but he has also taken to making stages. His favorite style of stage creation is in Hi-Res and adding a distant aspect so as more of the stage can be seen and to give a better look. His very first stage in this manner is his TMNT Dojo. JasonTodd has told us he wants to run a unique contest for the rest of the year. He will choose one general forum member who has proven themselves to be the most active regarding a presence here at CVG United and allow them to choose a comic character that he will then create. Early on in CVG United's history, we formed a pretty tight relationship with Nestor and his Capcom Fighting Allstars project. Welcome to our Thanksgiving Release Celebration!

Grudge Match: Rhino vs Bane

I think Bane would win this one. plain and simple.The Rhino just doesn't have what it takes to beat Bane. I put the fight together in Watch mode for MUGEN.

I'd like to apologize for being a little absent here late. Doing whatever with CVG is very time consuming, not to mention, I have every day stresses in real life like the rest of you.

I've been busy trying to organize a few things, including something I'll talk about later in this message. Not to mention the fact I've been trying (emphasis on trying, add the descriptor futile attempts) to break into sprite editing. It's very hard. I promise you there are three very exciting WIP Focus articles coming soon...all thats left is the editing.

Also, Mugen Madness 2.0 sort of got forgotten here. Many at CVG know what happened, but here is the fight for the rest of you:

I mean to do a post like this a long time ago. There does exist an excellent Mugen character based on Bishop. He was made by WuCash - a really excellent creator. This one is fun! I enjoy using him a great deal.

Grudge Match: Batman vs Predator

I was inspired. I remember reading the original Batman vs Predator comic back in the mid-1990's and the first sequel. It was a good book. I still have my first printings. The things is I recently have found a fan film depicting Batman fighting Aliens and Predator -  8 minutes of awesome. It's well done.  Extremely well done. I've embedded the film below - it could easily be turned into a movie. Following the film is my staged fights in MUGEN. The first fight is Infinity Mugen Team's Batman vs Predator and then Alucard's Batman vs the same version of Predator.

Grudge Match: Hulk vs Rhino

I always enjoy reading Rhino and Hulk fights. I'd love to see it done in animation. Such a fight could only end in one way: Hulk Smash! The most could really do is anger the Hulk only making the beat down worse.

Survive This: Cyclops

This is not the latest version of Cyclops, but it is one of my favorite MUGEN characters. I decided to play through Survival mode in MUGEN.

Grudge Match: Hulk vs Bane

To be honest I really think that the Hulk would mop the floor with Bane.  It would be messy. In strength, Bane's body would fail no matter how much Venom he pumped into himself. Hulk is way out of Venom's class.

Here is me putting Bishop through in Mugen Survival mode. The character is a lot of fun!

Grudge Match - Storm vs Starfire

Okay I admit it: I think Storm would wipe the sky with Starfire. Why? Storm can wield the full power of the earth's climate: lightning, wind, rain, snow, and hail would be able to put Starfire down - if used appropriately and Storm is very good at what she does combined with her fighting skills.

Grudge Match: Hal Jordon vs John Stewart

I'm not sure how this would go. Hal Jordon is the best known human Green Lantern, but I admit I like John Stewart better. I think Hal Jordon would win because of his experience. I decided to try staging a fight.

The version of Green Lantern that Buyog was involved in creating, is beyond cool. And fun to use. I decided to see how good it would be to use it in Survival mode. Here is a video showing what happened:

Grudge Match - Ms Marvel vs Starfire

If Ms Marvel fought Starfire
I think the battle would be astounding. Not really able to say who would win. I think that that Ms Marvel would win because I think that she is harder and willing to fight to the end. I decided to stage a fight in MUGEN.

I really like this version of Robin. I decided to see how long I can last in Survival mode. This character is tons of fun!
