Rurouni Kenshin is one of my favorite anime series. It has an engaging story, excellent fight scenes, and conflicted hero...and sword fights! I like the hero, Kenshin Himura. Thankfully, there does exist versions of him in MUGEN and even a screenpack. The main thing I like about the series is that it has a real historical backdrop - when Japan modernized and the samurai almost all disappeared. Kenshin is based on a real person named Gensai Kawakami.
