Survive This: Samara from the "Ring"

This character is one of the most powerful characters I have in my MUGEN .The original character is called "Ella" in MUGEN but it is based on the Samara character from "The Ring" movies. This character is fun to use.

Grudge Match: Batman & Superman vs Captain America & Thor

I think a two-on-two battle royal between Batman and Superman versus Captain America and Thor would be epic. Ijavascript:void(0) think either side could win. This is too close to call. I mean that as long as Thor stayed on Superman, Captain America would be able to challenge and perhaps even beat Batman. I decided to stage couple of fights in MUGEN. I used the same versions of Thor (Loganir), Superman (kal-el), and Captain America (MVC2), but I used Spiderbat's Batman in the first one and Alucard's Batman in the first one.

Grudge Match: Wonder Woman vs Deadpool

I know it's really not a doubt, but I still wanted to consider what would happen if Wonder Woman fought Deadpool. I really think it would depend on the mood that day of Wonder Woman as to if Deadpool lives after the fight or not. Here is a scenario in MUGEN

Survive This - Savage Hulk Redux

I love the version of the Hulk co-developed by Buyog. I like the character very much. A lot of fun to play. 

Grudge Match: Superman vs Captain Mar-vell

I would like to see Marvel's original Captain Marvel - The Kree warrior- fight Superman. I think it would a truly epic battle of huge cosmic proportions. I think Mar-vell might actually stand a chance. I decided to stage scenario in MUGEN.

Mugen Quasar - Update

I have to apologize. Quasar isn't public yet, and until bdcirck is ready to release it. I originally did not intend to put any references on this blog but I had forgotten and I would ask that bdcirck would forgive my oversight and anyone who is waiting for this character. I hope that it will be released soon and from now on there will be no more videos on this blog featuring this character. I'm sorry for any confusion I have caused.

Mugen: Ken Washio

This character, Ken Washio,  goes by many names. He has been re-interpreted for America more than once. The anime series from which he comes from have names like Gatchaman / G-Force /  Science Ninja Team Gatchaman / Eagle Riders/Battle of the Planets. Grudge Match: Superman vs Quasar

So who would win in a fight, Superman or Quasar? In my opinion, Quasar would loose. It would be a tough fight, but I think Quasar would not be able to keep up if Superman went all out. I decided to see what would happen if I set up a fight in MUGEN.

Survive This - Ken Washio

This character holds a special place in my heart. I don't know if you saw Battle of the Planets but it was the first Anime series I ever saw. It has been re-interpreted for American audiences several times in several ways, but always awesome to see - especially the way Alex Ross draws it. The series original name is Gatchaman. This character is the lead character of the team in the series. As far as I know only 2 of the 5 characters have made it into MUGEN and I'm planning to spotlight those characters soon! I took this character for a spin in MUGEN survival mode.

Grudge Match: Quasar vs Firestorm

Firestorm vs Quasar? hmmmm. In my opinion, Firestorm has the most potential but Quasar has better training. I have to give it to Firestorm because he can transmute matter...sorry but that's cooler. I staged a fight in MUGEN for fun.

Survive This: Wolverine

Wolverine is, arguably, the most famous fictional character in circulation today. I know why: Wolverine is real cool. What's not to like? This is probably why there are so many great versions of him in MUGEN. All the versions are fun to use and give you a great sense of what it might be like to be Wolverine. I took one of my favorite versions and played through MUGEN in Survival mode.

MUGEN Tutorial - Manuallly Controlling Characters

I've recently been asked how to setup MUGEN so that characters can be controlled by human beings. I decided to share my answer in case anyone else needs it. Here is the way question is phrased:

Well, Carlos the keey is the Options menu. The Program is first designed to be controlled using Keyboard stokes, but I find that difficult So I prefer to use a USB control pad. You can't use the joystick/gamepad until you have to set MUGEN to use it. Here is how you set it up:

Grudge Match - Superman vs Namor

If Superman fought Namor, overland, I think Superman would win but over water, Namor would have an edge but I think would still loose. I'd like to see that fight - both scenarios because although Namor would go down he would not make it easy on Superman. I decided to see what would happen if I tried it in MUGEN.

Survive This - Ryu

Ryu is one of my favorite characters of the Street Fighter franchise. So I decided to pick one of my favorite versions in MUGEN and see how long I can last in survival mode. This version fun to play!

Grudge Match: Wonder Woman vs Vixen

I decided to stage another match between Wonder Woman and Vixen to see if things would be different. The truth is I just see no way Vixen can beat Wonder Woman no matter what animal power she uses. However, I would still like to see her try and I enjoy watching it in MUGEN.

Survive This - Rorschach

It's been a real long time since I did a video using Rorschach in MUGEN. It's an excellent character and really fun to play with! It really reminds me of the way he is portrayed in the comic book and the movie. It is spot on. I played with the character in MUGEN's Survival mode. Here was the result

Grudge Match - Superman vs Iron Man

I know the answer seems obvious to the question of if Iron Man can beat Superman. But let's give Tony Stark the one piece of information he would need to win: the fact that Superman's powers are lessened under the light of a red sun! Given this, I'm sure Tony could on the fly modify his energy weapons to operate in the same energy pattern as red sun and kick Superman's big red...oh will, I staged a fight under computer control and what follows is what I got.

Survive This: Doctor Doom

Suffice it to say - Doctor Doom is perhaps one of the most powerful villains of the Marvel Universe. There are several great versions of the character in MUGEN. I picked one of my favorite and put him through Survival mode in MUGEN to see how far I could get. Here is the Result!

Grudge Match: Batman & Batman Beyond vs Spider-man & Spider-man 2099

So I wondered if Batman today teamed up with Batman Beyond and fought Spider-man and Spider-man 2099 who would win? I think the Spider-mans could do it if they moved quickly and decisively. Here are a couple scenarios with my favorite versions of Batman (Alucard's and Spiderbat's)

Grudge Match: Hulk vs Sandman

A fight between Sandman and the Hulk would be interesting. I think unless the Sandman ran away the Hulk would beat him badly. Here is a scenario in MUGEN.

Grudge Match: ZVitor's Spider-man vs Sandman

Spider-man and Sandman have tossed it up many, many times over the years. Spider-man has won many times but he had to be slick to win. Here is a scenario in MUGEN.

Grudge Match: Hulk vs Juggernaut

I can't remember a comic book when Juggernaut has actually fought the Hulk but it could be fun to see. I think the Hulk would win, but it would be a hard-won fight.

Grudge Match: Hulk vs Rhino

Rhino is more notable as an archenemy of Spider-man but he has mixed it up with the Hulk and managed to live through it. In a knockdown drag out fight, I believe that it could only really end with victory for the Hulk. Here is a scenario staged in MUGEN

Survive This: Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is a fun character to have in MUGEN. I decided to see how well I could with this version in Survival Mode.

Grudge Match: Hulk vs Iron Man

It's always fun to watch these two throw down. However, Iron Man almost never wins these and although I really like Iron Man, I can't say I'm surprised to see that Iron Man does not win often. I mean it doesn't matter powerful his armor makes him, Iron Man cannot match the fact that the more angry the Hulk becomes the stronger the Hulk becomes! Here is a scenario in MUGEN.

Survive This: Magus' Iron Man

Magus' Iron Man is one of the best characters for MUGEN. I enjoy playing with it. I decided to try to and see how far I could get in Survival mode.

Grudge Match: Ghost Rider vs Etrigan

If Ghost Rider and Etrigan were to throw down, I think that Etrigan would loose. Why? Ghost Rider is more vicious I think. He would put Etrigan down hard.  Here is what such a scenario looks like in MUGEN.
